In this contribution we will explore the transformative role of AI in education starting with the importance of personal growth and self-reflection in cultivating effective AI-powered teaching practices. Whatever we may think about the AI, it won't disappear. We will emphasize that AI technology is not meant to replace teachers, but rather to empower them by freeing up time for personalized student engagement. Do think of AI as a very accurate assistant. That means success = prompt.

dr. Uroš Ocepek
The phrase "Artificial Intelligence" (AI) accompanies us at every turn. Too often, it is used to sustain awe and fear towards technology and the future – however, with purposeful use, it can enrich both our daily life and the learning process. Dr. Uroš Ocepek has been integrating AI into the learning process since 2013 in three forms: using AI to support education; teaching AI-related content within the curriculum (for the 6th school year now); and student projects in the field of AI. Dr. Ocepek strives for his students to grow into adults equipped with the knowledge of ancestors, an understanding and mastery of today's professional competencies, and a relentless desire to discover something new, different – also innovative, with a greater emphasis on ethics. As Francois Rabelais puts it: "Knowledge without conscience is the ruin of the soul."

Dr. Uroš Ocepek is a teacher of vocational modules in the field of computer science at the Secondary Technical and Vocational School Trbovlje.
